Pylos is an abstract game.
Each player places a sphere of his color onto the grid, or onto a square of spheres. If a square of his color is created, the player takes back one or two spheres. However, a player may move his already played sphere to a square of a higher level.
The winner has at least one sphere when the opponent runs out.
The components are finished wooden spheres and a finished, pressed-wood game board.
