Clans is an area control game.
Each player is secretly interested in hut's of one color. Huts of different colors occupy different regions on the game board. Each region is of a certain type.
A scoring track indicates which regions are valuable and which are worthless. Every time a player score, this indicator changes.
A player's turn consists of moving a hut or group of huts in a region into an adjacent region containing a hut or group of huts. If the region the hut(s) are moved into is isolated from regions with huts, the player who isolated the huts scores a point. Then each color scores for being in the region. If all colors are in the region, than single huts of one color are removed before scoring.
The player who has the most points when the scoring track indicator reaches the end, wins the game.
This game has high production values, with a sturdy game board, and wooden huts.
