Board Game Summary for Bucket King

IMAGE: Bucket King

The Bucket King is an elimination card game.

Hands of cards are dealt. Players arrange bucket tokens in front of them into the shape of a pyramid. There are three buckets for each color in the game.

The start player leads. The following player must match the color lead. The value of the card(s) played may match the value played by the previous player, in which case play order is reversed. Each player in turn must match or exceed the value played by the previous player. Failure to do so means that player must lose one bucket of the color lead. If the bucket supports others in the pyramid, those buckets are lost as well. The player losing the bucket leads the next round.

Players should remember to draw a new card after playing cards. But, there's no forgiveness for forgetting.

Play continues until all cards have been played.

The winner is the last person to still have buckets.

The production quality is high, with descent cards and thick cardboard for bucket tokens. The artwork is simple but effective, though some numbers are hard to decipher.
